First of all, Happy New Years! I'm a little late to say that but better late than never. Over the break I got a lot of work done. Before, I had only the frame done and attached the bottom print plate but now, its done.
When I say done, I mean the building. I attached the x, y, and z axes, 2 belts, top print plate, 4 out of the 5 motors, the extruder mount, and made a box for the electronics to go in to so it is nice and neat. What I have to do for presentation (WHICH BY THE WAY IS ON JANUARY 21ST SO COME!!!!) is purchase another motor, put together the extruder, wire the electronics and program the thing. It seems like a lot of work to do in the next week or so, and it is, but I am pushing myself harder than I have been and going to finish it by presentations.
This semester has been the best of times and the worst of times and I am so glad I got the chance go through this crazy rollercoaster. It's hard to imagine that in 2 weeks all of us will be parting ways anf going back to our home schools. I became close to so many people here and I don't know what I will do without them.
Now although this has been a great expierence, there have been some negative times. I usually put everything off until the night before something is due and here you can't do that with anyones project. It has been overwhelming only because of my work habits and I highly recommend that if anyone in second semester is thinking they can get away with slacking off, do not do it. It is not worth taking it easy for the first few months and then drowning in work for the last month.
Like I mentioned early, presentations are on the 20th, 21st and the next Tuesday from 6-8:15 ish. I would love to see you guys there, I think it would be a great time. Peace out girl scout. :)
