Today was the end of the 3rd week into the Propel program and so far so good. It's amazing how well everyone is getting along with each other. You would think being stuck in a single classroom all day 5 days a week would make you hate everything about it, but it's the complete opposite. Usually by now everyone would be counting down the days to winter break, and I am, but not for school to be over. I can actually say I wake up excited to go to school and talk with people when just this time last year it was the other case.
So far, we've painted one of the many walls purple, gotten a few pieces of furniture, a speaker system and it turned out great. Everything looks beautiful and I can't wait to paint the other walls and to finally get the decorations. No, I'm not actually a member of the paint group but I've become pretty good friends with them and painting is kind of fun.
Although, I haven't been very productive in the decoration part, which makes me feel like I should be focusing on that considering we have only gotten the fabric for the curtains and the rods, but the rods ended up being too short.
This program is super cool and everyone in it and I can't wait until we start getting into doing our individual projects. It's hard to think that one month is almost over already and there is only 4 left in first semester and we'll all be back to regular classes and away from each other. I'm pleased to say pretty much everyone is making the most of everything while it lasts. Sadly, nothing lasts forever but memories do.
